QUALITY CONTROL & SOURCE INSPECTION

ENSURING MATERIALS AND FABRICATED ASSEMBLIES ARE DELIVERED in ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS AND CODE REQUIREMENTS IS a VITAL ASPECT TO OVERALL SITE SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

quality first in all thAT we do

Quality Control (QC) is defined as the specific steps in a Quality Assurance (QA) program to identify potential defects or anomalies in a product prior to delivery and/or use (i.e. execution of Visual Inspection, UT, PMI, dimensional checks, etc). The QC process can also include engagement of the Jurisdictional Authority, and is always a vital element of the QA program. It serves to ensure new fabrication and repair activities of boilers, pressure vessels, piping and storage tanks, in addition to many other fabricated products, are completed in accordance with applicable codes of construction, specifications and standards.

Source Inspection, while often grouped with QC, serves a different role by providing quality surveillance of materials, fabrications and equipment being delivered by a supplier/vendor or manufacturer/fabricator for use by the end user. Source Inspection plays a key role in providing oversight and validation that effective implementation and satisfactory results of the QC steps have been achieved thus ensuring the resulting product is free of defects.
